Inspiring Writing Plot Summary West End in Schools

LOCATION Where does your story take place? Choose at least three words to describe your location? (What it looks like, sounds like, the weather etc).

CHARACTERS Who are the the main characters in your story? Describe three things about your character. (For example what they look like, what their personality is like, what mood are they in, how do they feel about other characters, where do they live etc.)

The Beginning! How do your main characters arrive in your story? How do they arrive at the CHALLENGE?

THE CHALLENGE! Describe the main challenge (or event) in your story? Where does the challenge take place? How does each of your characters feel when faced with the challenge? Describe how you get from the challenge to the climax.

THE CLIMAX! Describe how the climax of your story unfolds. Where does the CLIMAX take place? What role do each of your characters play in the CLIMAX and how do they feel during it?

THE END / RESOLUTION! Do your main characters return home at the end of the story? If so, how do they get there? If not, what do they do? How do each of your characters feel or what have they learnt at the end of your story?
