Welcome to mrs. Simpson’S third grade SEPTEMBER 8, 2016

I grew up in upstate NY on a dairy farm I grew up in upstate NY on a dairy farm. I went to college at Hobart William Smith College in Geneva, NY. I got my masters degree from NCState in Raleigh. This is my 19th year teaching Third Grade at TDS.

Talented Tornado Letter Star Board Every two weeks we will have a new “Star of the Week.” We have a small bulletin board outside our classroom door where I will post a special newspaper that each third grader will fill out at home with their hobbies and interests. Below is a list of which student will be the “star” for each two-week period during our school year. Each child is also invited to bring in a few special items to share with the class during their special week(s). Student council Third graders are invited to run for class representative. Third graders will create a poster and give a short speech to the 3rd grade class. We will chose two third graders to represent our class on Student Council this year. 9/13: Applications due 9/19-23: We will post campaign posters! 9/23: 3rd graders make speeches! (3rd-8th will also hear speeches and vote on 5th-8th grade officers) 9/30: 3rd grade class representatives and 5-8th grade officers are announced
