Displacement Mapping Displacement Mapping is using a texture effect to deform (變形) the mesh with a cube, go into Edit Mode (tab) and select all verticies, press the Subdivide button a few times in the Tool Shelf go to the “Influence” panel and find the “Displacement” button to turn on Displacement and adjust the slider used the Cloud texture in Blender

Setting Up a World Using Color, Stars and Mist Depending on which release of Blender you’re running, you will either have a black, gray or blue background Blender gives you some basic options in the World settings. You can control the colors of the top and bottom (Zenith 天際and Horizon地平線), stars, fog( 霧) or mist (霧), clouds and, of course, loading JPEG images

Mist Settings: Depth (depth of mist) Height (setting to vary fog height) Intensity (can adjust intensity) When setting just a straight gradient color for your world, Select the “Blend” option above the color swatches and set the Horizon and Zenith colors.
Star Settings: Separation (distance between stars) Min. Distance (starting distance from camera)
Creating a 3D Cloud Backgrounds Create a world as described previously Set the Zenith color to white. Keep the Horizon at a blue color (make sure Blend is checked) Go to the texture buttons and create a new texture using “Clouds” Go down to the Mapping panel and adjust the Size X and Y sliders
Using an Image in the Background Create a world as described before, then go to the Texture Settings Select the “Image or Movie” type option and select your image Go back to the world settings. Take your Zenith color to white and check the Blend button
