When were the Middle Ages? 850 – 1450 Also known as ‘Medieval Period’ Sometimes talked about as Early Middle Ages and Late Middle Ages Same TIME PERIOD as Islamic World, but a different part of the world Middle Ages = Western Europe, including Britain Islamic World = Arab countries 2 Key Events took place – Crusades (1200) and Black Death (1348)
