Student Name: _________________ Grade: __________ We are excited to begin our new second half of the school year. We have been working diligently to maximize our support through the Title I program at C. A. Roberts Elementary. Title I is a federally funded program for the purpose of improving student achievement. The primary goal is to increase academic success in the areas of reading and math by providing Roberts Elementary with additional classroom resources, student and staff support, and parent involvement.   In our Schoolwide Title I programs, academic progress has been observed while working with your child’s teacher to examine students’ most recent assessment data at mid-year. This data will be used to determine if students are on track to meet grade level mastery of reading and math content standards. Students that indicate the greatest need for additional instructional support in reading and/or math will be provided specific, targeted interventions to reinforce skills. This support will be provided in a regular classroom setting with the classroom teacher and Title I teacher. Our Targeted Assistance Title I program will continue to provide academic support to eligible students in a regular classroom setting with the classroom teacher and Title I teacher. Title I will continue to offer opportunities for parent engagement provided through our local and district website.  Parent input is gathered during parent events or workshops, Title I Spring Survey, and links with resources are posted on websites. During this semester, you will be asked to complete our Title I Spring Survey. This survey will provide input to assist us with planning our parent engagement opportunities for the 2017-2018 school year. Parents are involved in the development of several Title I plans, including the Parent and Family Engagement Plan, Family-School Compact, Parent Involvement Budget, and Schoolwide Plan. Some of the other opportunities and resources Title I offers are parent workshops, a Parent Resource Center, and monthly parent newsletters. We will continue contacting you throughout the school year to inform you of the many opportunities provided. We appreciate your continuous feedback and input in effective ways that we can maximize our Title I resources. If you have any questions about our Title I program, please feel free to contact me, Kimberly Williams, Roberts Elementary Title I ILT by phone at 770-443-8060 or by email at kcwilliams@paulding.k12.ga.us .
