International Association of Korean Lawyers IAKL Pro Bono: A Short History 2008 The IAKL Korean Chapter was registered as a public interest organization 2009 4 lawyers started English legal counseling at the Korea Legal Aid Center for Family Relations IAKL Korean Chapter drafted & proposed a policy recommendation on overseas adoptee by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission The Pro Bono Committee was formed. 2010 The Pro Bono Committee hosted legal training sessions for overseas adoptees on adoption-related laws, the Nationality Act & labor law. The Pro Bono Committee hosted a legal training session for about 100 Filipino community leaders on the revised migrant workers act. International Association of Korean Lawyers
