I am not the only minister here! Ephesians 4:11-12 “So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service (or works of ministry), so that the Body of Christ may be built up.”

Ministry What is ministry? Diakonos Using all that God has given me to serve Him and the needs of others.

Ministry What areas do we minister in? Matthew 25:35-36 People’s physical needs. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 People’s emotional needs. 2 Corinthians 5:18 People’s spiritual needs

Ministry What is the purpose of ministry? God wants to use me and He wants to use you to help the church to grow. Ministry is being God’s hands and feet where you are. In the workplace, school, in our community and in the church, all for God’s glory.

You experience God’s power when you serve outside your comfort zone. You will be on the front line of seeing the miracle of salvation and grace every week.

The benefits of serving You model for your family and friends a servant’s heart. You get to know people and you make lifelong friends It makes coming to church more meaningful. You begin to live your life on mission the other 6 days of the week. It is fun!
