You may also speak to me at the beginning of class to find out what you missed. Get the notes from a classmate. Arrange a time to stay after school to make up work, labs and tests 5. Since homework and tests will always be announced on the board on each Monday and on the website, there will be no excuse for missing work or not being ready for a test. It is your responsibility to check it daily. I will always remind you of work. 6. If you miss a test or quiz, you will need to make them up ASAP. Speak to me or email me to arrange when this will be done. Check the website! You have a max of that many days to make up the missed assessment 7. Late homework is unacceptable. You have 1 day to make up a HW assignment (with a grade deduction) if we are solely checking it for completion. If the HW assignment is being turned in for a grade, you will receive a grade deduction for each day it is late (up until we return the assignment graded and then it can’t be turned in anymore).

8. Late labs will not be accepted > 5 days late 8. Late labs will not be accepted > 5 days late. However, there will be a grade deduction for each late day. No exceptions to this!! 9. Grading It is your responsibility to know your grades. Grades are quickly posted on Home Access. Save all papers in your notebook or a folder. Let me know if there are any errors on your grade 2. All work, tests, quizzes, labs, projects and reports will be graded on a weighted system. Tests/Quizzes – 60% HW & classwork – 20% Labs – 20% Your Midterm and Final will both be 25% of marking period grades You will also take the Biology Keystone exam in May. My answer will always be to do all the work assigned to you to the best of your ability. Grades will be accessed according to what is published in the student handbook.

Clinic I will hold clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Clinic time starts at 2:30 and ends at 3:15. Please be prompt. You must sign into and out of clinic. This tells me how much effort some of you are putting in and also helps me keep a record. We are here to help you. Please feel free to come even it’s to only ask one question.

Things we will be dissecting:

Midterm Exam This test will cover all material from the 1st and 2nd marking periods. You will receive a review packet which you will do on your own and then may be reviewed in class. Come to clinic if you need to review the material This test will be worth 25% of the 2nd marking period grade.
