Classroom Procedures Work Period

Why do we need procedures? There are also procedures in this classroom. These procedures establish our classroom culture. Our culture will be one of academic emphasis, positive attitude, cooperative effort and a safe and supportive environment. Work Period

DAILY ROUTINE BE ON TIME: Please enter the classroom quickly and quietly. Begin “Warm Up” (Bell Ringer) BE PREPARED: Make sure that you have all materials needed such as Math book, Note book, pencil, and paper, etc. BE ON TASK: Work silently on your bell (Warm Up) work. Take Notes, Complete class/home work, limit Conversations to work only. BE SUCCESSFUL: Check Work, Show Steps, Explain Answer, Turn In Work On Time!

Work Period Beginning of Class If you are Absent, look for “While you were out” folder, get the work your work, and sign the Log” If you have questions, ask your seatmate “Before the bell Rings.” If he/she can’t help you, then you can raise your hand after You complete the warm up.

Classroom Discussions PLEASE participate. If you know the answer, have comment or question, raise your hand and wait to be called. Remember: No calling out.

Finish Classwork Early “What do I do next?” If seatwork has been completed… Turn your finished work in your class folder. Work on unfinished Math assignments. Review vocabulary words. Start working on tonight’s homework.

Work Period Closing Students will write Procedures a brief summary about the Procedures & Guidelines. Students will share out Summary.

Homework Homework Due Read the course syllabus with your parent, have your parent or guardian sign and send me an email with your name in the subject area, and place it in the beginning of your math binder. Complete Handout
