Mathematical METHODS An interesting course with real life applications An achievable course (for those who WORK!!) So start from the very first Lecture & Tutorial

Mathematical METHODS Keys to Success good attendance + complete all set tasks good organisation good setting out act on advice given good management of the lecture/tutorial system = a smart cookie

Mathematical METHODS Lecture/Tutorial Process Presentation of: theory, and examples and applications LECTURE

Mathematical METHODS Lecture/Tutorial Process re-read the lecture ASK about the parts that are UNCLEAR LECTURE REVIEW

Mathematical METHODS Lecture/Tutorial Process Focus on: key principles, definitions and formulae key processes warnings, hints and common errors Come and DISCUSS your summary SUMMARISE THE LECTURE

Mathematical METHODS Lecture/Tutorial Process DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS from the textbook &/or worksheets STAY UPTO DATE!! do some maths every day ASK questions regularly and as soon as possible!

Mathematical METHODS Lecture/Tutorial Process prepare your page of notes learn the theory and rules practise, practise, practise! PREPARE FOR THE TOPIC TEST
