Introduction- War In The Air In the interesting years of the war, air transport was introduced in 1909. Ten years after the Wright Brothers had made the first powered flight, there was still much to be improved on these aircrafts. These aircrafts where not just recognized as toys but weapons. Planes in the war had been used to destroy the enemy, transportation and communication.

What types of planes? Ansaldo SVA AVRO 504 Fokker Dr.I Triplane These are most of the planes that where used in the wars- These planes had been able to drop bomb, poison gas, and able to shoot bullets. Machine guns had been installed in the planes so it would be easier to attack the enemy, most planes that where used in the wars with this material had been very useful. Ansaldo SVA AVRO 504 Fokker Dr.I Triplane Fokker D.VII S.E.5a Sopwith Camel Voisin bomber

Famous Pilots Roland Garros -the first forward firing gun was his invention Georges Albert Ball - of the Storks regiment Manfred Von Richthofen - holds the title of most planes downed during the war Raoul Lufbery - holds the highest number of planes downed for the Allies Edward Mannock –holds the highest number of planes downed for the Allies Willy Coppens - most recognized balloon shooter Dave Ingalis - he most famous navy pilot

On the aircraft In the these aircrafts that had been used for many different verities, most aircraft were used for the war. In the war technology back then had improved over the years and new discoveries where made. The people who had re done the aircraft for better use in the wars had learned that they had been able to add machinery on the air crafts such – Machine gun, Bombs, poison gas, arrows and much more to do whatever it takes to destroy the enemy. These are some of the inventions to be added to aircrafts.
