Vice President is President of Senate. Judicial: District Court (94 in U.S) Appeals Court (12 in US) Supreme Court “Top Dog” State Government Executive: Governor, Lt. Mayor Strong-Mayor Plan: Weak-Mayor Plan: Under the strong-mayor plan, the mayor is the city’s chief executive and has the primary responsibility for running the cities government. Ex. City government is divided into departments, each headed by a director who is appointed by mayor and approved by the city council the mayor can also veto city ordinances. Weak-Mayor Plan: Under the weak-mayor plan, the city council holds more power than the mayor. Ex.
