Levels of Organization: The Human Body Put the following words in order: Tissue, Organelle, Organism, Organ, Cell, Organ System

Ecology Ecology is the study of how organisms interact with each other and with their environment (both living and non-living parts of their environments). Create a forest!

Parts of the Ecosystem

Parts of the Biosphere Organism – one member of a given species Population – The number of organisms of 1 species in a given area (number of white-tailed deer in the forest). Community – all of the populations in a given area (trees, grasses, bacteria, squirrels, mice living in the forest.)

Parts of the Biosphere Ecosystem – The community and all the nonliving factors in an area (trees, grasses, bacteria, squirrels, mice living in the forest plus type of soil, temperature). Biosphere –any place on Earth where life can exist.
