Begin with sections that are most relevant to the position you want Put Professional Experience or University Service first, not Research or Teaching GIVE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES of how you have demonstrated the traits or skills that you claim to have Make sure you have references that can speak about how you have used your skills outside of the lab

What do I like most about my job now? Having a voice in policy decisions that will improve the educational experience for graduate students Being able to work with and learn from students and faculty across campus, not just in my discipline Keeping a connection to neuroscience, without having to worry about the pressures of publishing or securing grants
