A (Chimney) Swift Night Out – Monday, Sept. 18 (Rain date Sept A (Chimney) Swift Night Out – Monday, Sept. 18 (Rain date Sept. 21), South Arlington Join your neighbors for a popular annual ritual. As summer fades into fall, Chimney Swifts put on an awesome show as they join other swifts for an aerial flying display. 6:25 pm: Meet at the tables outside Attila’s Turkish Carryout at 2705 Columbia Pike.  (Optional) 7:05 pm: Check out Arlington Village's terraced erosion project at 1415 S. Edgewood (near the stream). (Optional) 7:20 pm: Find us at the corner of 16th St. South and South Edgewood St. (close to Walter Reed Community Center) where we will start watching the birds.  Brief talk at 7:30. 7:30 pm: Brief chimney swift talk offered. Parking/Transportation:   Please park on 16th St. S. or South Edgewood St. in the parallel street parking spaces (which are public), at Walter Reed Community Center, or ride a bus or bicycle.  ART Bus 77 travels past Walter Reed Community Center on its route between Shirlington and Clarendon. The 10B bus travels from Ballston metro. Bikeshare stations are at Walter Reed Community Center and on Columbia Pike. Binoculars are optional. No R.S.V.P. needed. Event ends around 8 pm.
