Remain Professional/What to avoid Always communicate in advance any late or missed days due to academic issues, exams, Internship Fair, Conference etc. (planned ) Also the unplanned such as illness Culture Professional dress 3 month interview Office meetings, take part when asked. Gossip Romance Politics Jokes Office gathering /the weekly parties

Your experience might be… It’s Boring- sit all day I have no idea what I’m doing I am so busy and too many people tell me what to do I don’ t like this internship Ask if there is anything to help, research the company or competitor. Write list of questions you have meet with supervisor to get answers Discuss with supervisor, can someone help This is a positive, determines some choices for you going forward career wise. Short term, 10 weeks.

Your experience could be … A job offer to start right now. A glowing reference letter to take on future job interviews. A referral to a sister company in your home town. A job offer upon graduation, rest easy your senior year. Can be part time, move to full time upon graduation. Ask for this to accompany your resume. Do your research, learn about other companies they may own or work closely with that they can ‘sell’ your talents to. A Salary!
