Program overview Consists of 11courses 27 extension units—upper division Some ADX courses transfer to the Human Services Degree Program & Some Human Services courses may be transferred to the ADX program Prepares students for entry into the field at a professional level Well known by treatment centers in area Approved/Accepted by California State certifying agencies
Application Qualifications Two years (60 units) of college credit * Or two years of work experience in the Health or Human Services field (verified on letterhead by a supervisor) * Or a combination of college credit and work experience to meet the two-year time frame requirement. * AND Applicants with a history of substance abuse should have at least 2 years of continuous sobriety *Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Cost of Program *Program Cost: The total cost of the program is approximately $4625, plus $1300 for books/supplies and potential cost of internship courses (registering with State Agency, TB testing, CPR, Life Scan, Ethics course, approximately $200). *Parking: Kiosk VS Semester Parking Pass * subject to change
Financial Aid. Fieldwork Classes Once enrolled into the Fieldwork Classes (ADX 351/352 or 353/354) you will be required to affiliate yourself with a State Certifying Agency to complete your 300 hours of internship. Course Rotation Introductory courses ADX 300 and ADX 301 offered only in the Fall and Spring Semesters Alternates between Semesters: -Individual and Group (302/304) alternates with Drugs and Family (303/306), Alternates between Semester & Courses: -The Practicum Courses (ADX 351/352 & ADX 353/354) - the Electives Courses (ADX 311 or 309) ADX 302, 304, 351/352 and 311 are all taught in the same semester. ADX 303, 306, 353/354 and 309 are all taught in the same semester
Program length Students can complete the ADX program within 4 semesters; Fall to Fall or Spring to Spring. Students are ONLY admitted during the Fall and Spring Semesters The program is self paced (Fall to Fall or Spring or Spring) Students must have completed all Required courses (10) plus an Elective class (1) with at least 2.5 Grade Point Average AND all 300 Fieldwork Internship hours
