Presentation transcript:

London Metro line buses By Salas

The History about Buses John Greenwood had an idea in 1824 that buses should have routes. They should always start at the same place and finish in the same place. Years ago buses did not have engines instead horses had to pull them The buses could take 22 people.

Bus Travelling Now Now buses have engines and routes. Every day the London buses carry 6.5 million people. Years ago people used to pay with money but now they use oyster cards In London the buses are red, in Belfast the buses are pink and white, in Edinburgh the buses are pink; in Cardiff the buses are orange

The Bendy Bus The bendy buses went out of service in 2009 because they blocked junctions and they were a danger to cyclists

The Ghost Bus People say they have seen a ghost bus appearing at Cambridge Gardens at 1:15 am. It has no driver and no lights. It is a number seven bus

Bus drivers Bus drivers are trained to drive a bus and look after the passengers. They get a PCV licence which means they can drive a public bus. PCV means passenger carrying vehicle.

Our route to the London transport museum. When we went to the London Transport Museum we got the number 43 bus to Muswell Hill but there was a traffic jam. So then we took the 144 bus to Turnpike Lane tube Station. After that, we took the tube all the way to Covent Garden.

one take the school bus to school? I wouldn't fit through the door. Salas’s Bus Jokes Janet: What's the difference between a cake and a school bus ? Jill: I don't know. Janet: I'm glad I didn't send you to pick up my birthday cake ! Why didn't anyone take the school bus to school? It wouldn't fit through the door. Why didn't any one take the school bus to  school? I wouldn't fit through the door. Does this bus stop at the river? If it doesn't there'll be a very big splash.

Thank you for watching my slide show. By Salas
