RETREAT GOALS Lead personnel from Student Services and Instruction work collaboratively to develop strategies to 1. Minimize duplication of services between student services and Instruction 2. ACCESS Create a campaign to connect with the community Use students to become community ambassadors Faculty to make connections with program teachers, counselors and principals at high schools to promote college programs Develop campus activities during the year to promote academic programs Highlight resources available to support student success Break up Assessment test so students are not placed at the lowest level Create comparison of income between high school graduate and college graduate Create internship programs between campus programs and local businesses Subramaniam-8.20.15

ED PLANNING Create a GOT ED. PLAN campaign Educate all stakeholders on purpose for completing Ed. Planning Promote completing Ed. Plans in classes – use student ambassadors and ASB Establish classroom visits by counselor to provide information on Ed. Planning Subramaniam-8.20.15

COURSE & PROGRAM COMPLETION Improve Assessment process Use multiple measures to place students in the right classes: evaluate high school transcripts Create learning communities Develop and an Early Alert Process Develop support resources for students who have been identified through Early Alert Increase number of trained tutors Develop embedded class room tutoring Redesigning in-class tutoring program Subramaniam-8.20.15
