Distribution of refugees in our region from 2013 to2015:

Age of refugees in our region

Criminality of refugees Few incidents  much attention (media)  polarization  unfounded fear Vs. Sexual offences (new year’s night Cologne)  founded anxiety

Reasons for higher crime rate of foreigners less trust -> more supervision -> more controls by policemen majority of refugees: male, young -> main crime group unauthorized/undocumented entry in a country = crime refugees as victims of other refugees  foreigners are not more criminal than German citizens (xenophobia, racism and prejudice)

Economy German economy needs young (skilled) workers, many companies can’t find apprentices especially in rural areas (Simmern!) lack of workers cost for refugees’ help: 21 billion euros (IFO-Institute) for at least 800.000 people

Accommodation first tents, little protection examples: few furniture containers small wooden huts old houses few furniture WC and shower on the floor low/no privacy

Integration local examples of integration football “huns-bunt” refugees’ tournament learn German and accomplish team spirit source: https://image.jimcdn.com/app/cms/image/transf/dimension=1920x400:format=jpg/path/sac7af2b0c2baf26f/image/iaee47c24bc55b30d/version/1485535308/image.jpg

located in Simmern members of stuff help refugees to write a good application the organization is open for all people from all over the world refugees can learn the German language visitors can sit there in a nice atmosphere, talk and get some drinks
