...leveraging the strengths of members & partners to deliver outstanding adult education programs & services with seamless transitions into the workforce or postsecondary education. Sierra Assets is the name that students understand. Our official designation is Sierra Joint Consortium for Adult Education.

It all begins with reaching out and dialogue… Partner connections… What can we do together? What can I do to help you? How can we both benefit? Can I share your space, can I offer something that you need?

Addressing the Gaps / Seamless Transitions Placer School for Adults launches expansion into new satellite location with new supports for more classes and transition to careers and college.

Placer School for Adults 390 Finley St Auburn CA 95603 (Main office - is moving to another campus - Fall 2017) Career Center 1919 Grass Valley Highway Auburn, CA 95603 www.PlacerOnline.org Like us on Facebook

B. Take a Calculated Risk How much will it cost? $$$ for creating/staffing a Career Center? This could be on your campus or a satellite location. How much to furnish? What do you need? Desks, tables, chairs, computers, wifi, break- out and training rooms, office(s), other? Could be existing underutilized space, classrooms. Get partners - leverage resources/braided funding? (PCES, GS, DOR) Marketing the Career Center? What are the benefits, or ROI, to serve hundreds of new adults?

C. Invest the Time and Resources Staffing - use existing staff, leverage resources from agencies, maybe add staff Equipment - tables/chairs, computers, wifi, projectors, screens, printers, copier, TV-video (for hearing impaired), other.
