Zero pair A Zero pair is a number and its opposite.

Zero pair

Zero pair A zero pair describes a pair of numbers whose sum is zero.

Zero pair Is -4 + -4 an example of a zero pair? If you start at -3 and move right 3 spaces on the number line, is this an example of a zero pair? If you add 20 + -20 is this an example of a zero pair?

Positive Integer

Positive Integers Positive Integers are numbers to the right of zero on a number line.

Positive Integer

Positive Integers Positive Integers are used to denote a rise in temperature.

Positive Integer Would a positive integer be used to describe a depth of 5 feet in the ocean? Can you use a positive integer to describe a deposit into a bank account? Does a plane descending from the sky describe a positive integer?

Negative Integers Negative Integers are numbers to the LEFT of Zero on a number line.
