Promoting positive behaviour Szkoła Podstawowa im. Ks. S. Konarskiego w Częstochowie

In our school we pay much attention to pupils’ behaviour. The pupils get marks for their everyday behaviour at school as well as they get marks for their work The school report includes the behaviour marks There is a system of awards for good behaviour and punishements for negative behaviour

According to The School Code of Behaviour Rules there are several prizes for good behaviour: The excellent behaviour mark in the class register The teacher’s and the head teacher’s public praise Honourable mention during the half-term assembly Positive comment in the Comments Book A book prize for the most polite pupils in the end of the school year A congratulation letter to parents

Every month the pupils get the behaviour mark. The school register:

Classes 4-6 collect positive and negative comments in the Comments Book. Children get positive notes when they: Take part in contests Prepare and taking part in school events Win the contests Help other pupils in the class Decorate and tidy the classroom Engage oneself in school and class life Wear suitable clothes Are punctual Do not disturb the teacher

The black and red dots chart (classes 1-3) The red dot means good behaviour and the black dot – bad behaviour.

The chart includes: Behaviour: in the class, during the break Activity Preparation to a lesson Helping other pupils Working in the class

The head teacher praises the pupils chosen as the most polite.

A diploma and a gift – prize for positive behaviour

Each year we make a board bulletin presenting our best pupils.

A congratulation letter to parents
