THE BOARD The NGOs Coordination Board is a Government Corporation established under the NGOs Co - ordination Act No. 19 of 1990. Mandate: To regulate and enable the NGOs sector in Kenya.

MONITORING OF NGOs All NGOs under the Act are required to file an annual return pursuant to section 24 of the NGOs Regulations, 1992 and Clause 5 of the Terms and Conditions of Registration.

FILING OF RETURNS The form 14 MUST be duly filled and presented in Kenya Shillings. Filing fee of KSH 2,000; An audit report prepared in the prescribed manner where applicable.

Audited Accounts The audited accounts that form part of the annual returns MUST be: Prepared by a registered auditor who is in good standing with ICPAK; Prepared in compliance with IFRSs; Representative of the operations of the Kenya office only; Presented in Kenya shillings.

DEFAULT MECHANISMS A penalty of KES 25,000 for each defaulted year Denial of services from the Board Ultimately, deregistration
