Review

Open a File Go to Class files  IIT  Word Copy Rose to Pictures Copy Review before Certification to Documents Copy Rose Types to Documents In Documents, open Review before Certification

Modify Font Theme Change the Font Theme to Garamond

Margins Set the margins to Top and bottom .75” Left & Right 1”

Apply Styles Find the following text and change the style to Heading 3 Bare-Root and Potted Roses Diseases and Insects

Add Hyperlink On Page 2, under heading Judging Rose Quality, select “satisfied with plants” Create a hyperlink to a Place in This document, the heading The Rose in Use

Convert to Table On Page 3 select from Common Diseases to Crown Gall Convert to Table, Separate text at Tabs and AutoFit to Window

Apply Table Style To the table just created, apply the table style Grid Table 4 – Accent 2

Modify Style (Heading 2) Modify Heading 2: Spacing before: 18 pts Spacing After: 6 pts

Modify Style (Heading 3) Modify the Heading 3 Style Font Color: Dark Red, Accent 1 , Lighter 60%

Add Bookmark Select Diseases and Insects (heading on page 3) Create a bookmark called Diseases

Columns Select the text between the headings The Rose in Use and The Rose as a Symbol (Page 1) Modify the selected text as 2 columns with a line between and the spacing set to .3”

Add Caption Add a caption to the table on page 3. Position: Below selected item Caption: “Diseases found in roses”

Footnote On Page 3 under the heading Bare-Root and Potted Roses click after Bare root in the paragraph. Delete the text dormant plants sold with no soil around the roots. (You can cut so you can paste on next step) Make sure insertion point is after Bare-root. Add a Footnote: dormant plants sold with no soil around the roots

Modify Footnote style Change the Footnote numbering style to be A, B, C, …

Page Number Add the Thin Line page number to the bottom of all pages.

Add Text from File Place insertion point before Diseases and Insects (Page 4) Press Enter to create a new line. On that new blank line add the text Rose types and make it Heading 3 Place the document “Rose Types” under the heading

Multilevel list Select the list from the file you just inserted (Wild roses to Patio) Create a multilevel list 1) a) i)

Insert SmartArt At the bottom of page 4, after fungicide regimen Press enter Add SmartArt (Continuous Cycle) Start at the top and Add Phase 1, Phase 2, … Phase 5

Resize SmartArt Resize the SmartArt graphic to be 2” tall and 4” wide.

Caption: SmartArt Add a caption below the SmartArt that says: Rose phases

Convert Table to Text On Page 3 select the Grafted Roses table Convert the table to text separate text with Paragraph marks

Convert text to Multilevel list Select the “Grafted Roses” text (that was a table) Apply a Multilevel list 1) a) i) Indent lines 2, 4 and 6

Insert Picture Place curser on page 4 before “A healthy plant…” Insert the picture Rose

Modify Picture Set the height of the picture to 1” Set the text wrap to tight

Position Picture Position the picture as follows: Horizontal Alignment Right relative to the Margin Vertical Absolute Position 1” below Paragraph

Text Box On page 2 Add the text box Retrospect Quote Add the text: Potted plants have no official standard of grading

Zoom Adjust the zoom to 83%

Document Properties Add the Title property of Roses Set the comment to Draft Set the Keywords to: Rose, Disease, Judging

Set Option Set the Save options to Embed the fonts Set The AutoRecovery options to every 7 minutes

Save the file Save the file and upload to Engrade
