STUDENT & TEACHER GROUP ACTIVITY INNOVATIVE PROJECT COMPETITION

Number of Innovative Group Activity Students = 18 Groups (Gr 1- 18: Green) Teachers = 7 Groups (Gr 1-7: Red) Total = 25 Groups

Group’s Mission As a Young Smart Farmer, The product must be integrated with the following concept: As a Young Smart Farmer, what product concept/prototype you will create/develop to help farmers in community to increase productivity in traditional farms Increasing productivity in the Farm (any kind of farms) Saving Energy Eco Life/ Environmental Friendly Marketable

Process of Innovative Group Activity (1) Analyse, share and discuss (2) Identify key issues and problems (3) Brainstorm the possible solutions (4) Using provided materials/natural objects to create product models and project (5) Develop brief information of your idea

(6) Exhibition preparation on 1 Sept at 13.00-15.00 hrs (7) Evaluation by the Judging Committee is on 1 Sept at 15.00-17.00 hrs (8) Popular vote will be conducted during 17.00-18.00 hrs (9) Post your product picture on “Young Smart Farmers 2017” Facebook for Special Prize from 15.00-17.00 hrs 10) Announcement of all prizes at Farewell Dinner on 1 Sept

1) Materials: Basic Stationary All groups receive on 30 Aug

2) Materials: Natural Objects All groups receive Natural Objects on 30 Aug. The Natural Objects can be shared to other groups, if you do not use some items.

3) Materials: Recycle and Reusable Materials All groups will select the extra materials from Supermarket on 30 Aug – You must make sure to use them all.

4) Materials: Rubbish from the Beach Students and teachers will collect rubbish on 31 Aug at Naval Base after outdoor activities. It is not compulsory to use all items from the beach.

Rules and Conditions Your idea must address real situations and meet needs of farmers. Your idea must be creative. Please use the materials that are mentioned. You can share natural objects to other groups. Time management, creativity and teamwork are important.

Prizes Prizes for Student and Teacher Innovative Group Activity Prizes for Students 8 Outstanding Innovative Projects (No ranking) 1 Popular Vote Prizes for Teachers 3 Outstanding Innovative Projects (No ranking) Special Prize for Popular Facebook (Students and Teachers) 1 Prize for Most “Shared” on Facebook

Outstanding Innovative Project: 11 Prizes Judging Criteria Effective use of recyclable/reusable/natural materials (15%) Innovativeness, demonstrated and creativity and originality of idea (30%) Teamwork (15%) Implementation feasibility/Doable (15%) Quality of presentation of clarity of idea (25%)

Popular Vote: 2 Prizes All participants and working committee will receive 2 coins: 1 Green Coin and 1 Red Coin on 1 Sept at 15.00 Hrs Using for Popular Vote: Green for student groups and Red for teacher groups Popular Vote will be opened during 17.00-18.00 hrs Inserting the wrong color will not be counted STUDENTS TEACHERS

POPULAR FACEBOOK – 1 Prize Please search facebook page “Young Smart Farmers 2017”, then click “like” to be a friend. When your product model is developed, take photo of your product with number of your group and post on Young Smart Farmers Facebook Invite your friends to join the facebook. Ask your friends to “Share” your product as many as you can. The prize will be evaluated from the most “SHARED”
