Will you starve for food?

Did You Know? A child dies from hunger-related causes every 13 seconds. Most of the 20,000+ child deaths every day are 100% preventable. Around the world, 925 million people are hungry. The poor spend most of their money on food. We can help save kids’ lives.

So What Exactly IS the Famine? The 30 Hour Famine is designed to give normal- everyday students a different viewpoint on what it means to go hungry. Students are asked to raise awareness of worldwide childhood hunger by raising money and gaining sponsors to sponsor them as they go without food for 30 hours. During this time, students participate in community service to see how it feels to work on an empty stomach, as many children do around the world.

Why Should You Raise Funds? Your funds will literally change lives. We’re 100% serious. In the last 20 years, the number of kids who die each day because of hunger, disease, and poverty has dropped from 40,000 to just over 20,000 — thanks in part to efforts like the 30 Hour Famine and people like you.
