Global Citizenship Week Wednesday Global Citizenship Week

I will begin to understand where Stafford fits into the country. Google Earth Tour Our Town I will begin to understand where Stafford fits into the country. I will be able to locate features on a map.

Obj: I will be able to locate features on a map. Look at map of Stafford area Find: Natural (physical) features Cannock Chase, River Sow Doxey Marshes Man-made (human) features. Ancient High House Stafford Castle MOD base Victoria Park Shugborough Hall

Obj: I will be able to appreciate the impact people have on making our community a good place to be. What makes Stafford a good place to live? Talk about the people that make it good and the things they can do. How safe is it? Do you feel looked after by your family, friends and others in the community? Pick from a list of what makes Stafford a good place to live. The best thing about living in Stafford is…

Obj: I will be able to work as a team doing my bit to make a class book. Owls and squirrels: Choose one place from the list and draw it for the book. Robins and Magpies: Draw a map of Victoria Park and make a key to show all the different activities you can do there. Bats: Look at published leaflets about places of interest. Write your own description to go with one from the list. Try to persuade visitors to go there. This work will be on display for parents to look at on Friday! Different dance styles make life more fun! Obj: I will be able to appreciate that differences can make us stronger. How is Stafford ‘Diverse’? How does having families from different parts of the world make us a stronger community? Different dance styles make life more fun! Everybody is different and that's OK! Different ideas help us to be more creative. Living with people from different places help us to understand we are all the same inside. Foods from around the world make life more interesting Learning about different religions shows us we believe similar things. We can learn what it is like to come from different places.
