Fouls in Special Situations All fouls shall be charged and penalties shall be administered in the order of their occurrence. All equal penalties and double foul penalties shall be cancelled. Only #3 and #5 can be called against both teams during the same dead ball period. All other penalties shall be administered in the order of their occurrence. Whenever a penalty that carries the right of possession is followed by another penalty of possession against the opponent, that right of possession shall be forfeited. Once the ball is live, no penalty from the previous foul penalty can be cancelled and shall be administered in the order of occurrence.
Fouls in Special Situations If, after the cancellation of equal penalties against both teams, there are no other penalties to be administered, the game shall resume as follows: If at approximately the same time as the first infraction: 1. A valid field goal is scored, the ball shall be awarded to the non-scoring for a throw-in at any place on the baseline. 2. A team had control of the ball or was entitled to the ball, the ball shall be awarded to that team for a throw-in at the nearest spot to the first infraction. 3. If neither has control of the ball or was entitled to the ball, a jump ball AP arrow situation occurs. Note: officials must understand that they are cancelling equal penalties not cancelling fouls. Therefore, all fouls shall be recorded.
