Another year on the HoP Firstly we would like to Thank everyone who have been involved with the Heart of Pitsea for their time, hard work and dedication. The Partners meet once a month and also have a few review meetings throughout the year and some ad-hoc working groups when they are needed. Residents can also be found hosting Quiz nights, disco’s, community cuppa’s and the weekly pop in surgery at the library among other things.

The Youth Forum is open to 11-18 year olds and they meet every fortnight to develop activities for youth and families. They are currently working on weekly youth clubs covering a range of activities for 5 - 18 year olds. Funding Panel meetings are held approximately every 8 weeks. At these meetings residents discuss and vote on the applications submitted. All partnership decisions including the funding panels need a majority vote from residents.

21 applications were made over 4 rounds The proposals requested £102,307.73 from Heart of Pitsea. 7 were progressed totalling £19,244.10 In addition the Organisational contributions across the 7 projects total £8,294.06

Skills and Training Self Defence workshops for women, disabled and young people Mentorship programme leading to employment Personal Development Workshops Advice sharing Library Job club support

Our Activities Included

What we spent on our objectives Health & Wellbeing Education, Skills & Training Crime & Community Safety Community & Environment £10,827 £5,819 £0* £5,148 *self defence classes were funded from the community activity budget. We also recognise that other projects also impact Crime & Community safety even though they are considered to be mostly focused on a different objective. In the future we will split the costs of projects across the relevant objectives to have a true reflection of our investments.
