Contest Instruction and Entry Form

Notes on using this template This is the official template for entries to the contest and must be used. Tell us the story of your journey through your mobile Proof of Concept (PoC), starting with the problem you were solving, what you built to solve it, and finally what the results were. Your finished deck should not exceed 15 slides in total, which must include the Contact Information slide. You will be required to provide a contact for someone at your company that can authorize eligibility releases and agreements if you are selected as a Finalist. Use the three titles and the explanatory text in the final three slides in this deck to guide you. All submissions must be in English. You must include screenshots showing your scenario before (where appropriate) and after mobile enablement. Entries must be submitted via email to: summerje@us.ibm.com. The deadline for receiving your entry is 11:59 PM U.S. Eastern Time on 17 September 2014. Please delete these instructions before submission!

All Participants must be an existing System z customer in good standing on or before August 11, 2014. Employees, officers and directors of IBM, BI WORLDWIDE, Judges, participating advertising and promotion agencies, their subcontractors, and those individuals and entities involved in the preparation of materials for, administration and/or execution of this Contest (all collectively the “Promotion Entities”), and the immediate family members (defined as parents, children, siblings and spouse, including step and foster relations) regardless of where they reside, and/or individuals living in the same household (whether or not related) of any of the Promotion Entities are not eligible to participate in the Contest. 1. The need for an app What was the business need that drove you to want to build a mobile app? Describe how creating the mobile app could enhance the experience of a customer or employee.

2. What we built Describe your existing infrastructure. Describe how you went about the mobile enablement of your mainframe applications. Include key technical components and/or architecture diagram. Highlight any key obstacles you overcame.

3. Outcomes What were your expectations and did you meet them? What worked well? Are there outstanding issues you still need to work on, or need help with? What are the future plans for your app?
