About the Data The data cover: Completers from our CO public colleges and DU, Regis and CCU who were found in the unemployment insurance database and earned at or above the state’s minimum wage. Data do not cover: Graduates who left the state, federal government employees, students who are continuing their education and completers who are not earning minimum wage annually. Other factors to consider: Regional differences, employment fields and academic misalignment, background differences (age, etc.) Graduates who left the state after completing a credential, who went to work for the federal government in Colorado or who were self-employed. These workers are not included in the state’s unemployment insurance data. Graduates who were employed and earning less than the Colorado minimum wage during the targeted one-year earnings period one, five or ten years following their highest level credential. Does capture: Over xx,xxx college graduates from 2002-2012 from Colorado public colleges and universities and from three private institutions who are in the state’s unemployment insurance wage data. Graduates who are employed in Colorado and earning at or above the Colorado minimum wage. Because of the mobility of Colorado graduates, these xx,xxx students represent xx percent of all graduates.
