ANOREXIA BULIMIA

CELIAC DISORDER OBESITY

Anorexia Anorexia nervosa is a serious, potentially life- threatening eating disorder characterized by self-starvation and excessive weight loss.

Symtoms: Intense fear of weight gain, obsession with weight and persistent behavior to prevent weight gain. Inability to appreciate the severity of the situation. Dramatic weight loss. Refusal to eat certain foods, progressing to restrictions against whole categories of food. Consistent excuses to avoid mealtimes or situations involving food.

BULIMIA Bulimia nervosa is a serious, potentially life-threatening eating disorder characterized by a cycle of bingeing and compensatory behaviors such as self-induced vomiting designed to undo or compensate for the effects of binge eating.

Symptoms: Frequent episodes of consuming very large amount of food followed by behaviors to prevent weight gain, such as self-induced vomiting. A feeling of being out of control during the binge-eating episodes. Self-esteem overly related to body image.

Celiac disorder Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder that can occur in genetically predisposed people where the ingestion of gluten leads to damage in the small intestine. When people with celiac disease eat gluten their body mounts an immune response that attacks the small intestine.

Symtoms: Digestive symptoms are more common in infants and children. Here are the most common symptoms found in children: abdominal bloating and pain chronic diarrhea vomiting constipation weight loss fatigue irritability and behavioral issues dental enamel defects of the permanent teeth delayed growth and puberty

Obesity Obesity is a complex disorder involving an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity isn't just a cosmetic concern. It increases your risk of diseases and health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure.
