We learnt about the Hindu festival of Diwali and how it is celebrated.

The pupils said: ‘It was interesting learning about Hinduism.’ ‘I liked the story about the 10-headed monster.’ ‘It was easier to understand by watching the video.’ ‘I want to learn more about Hindu gods.’

We made Diwali lamps out of clay.

The pupils said: ‘It was very creative.’ ‘Next time, I’m going to make a sculpture of the elephant god Ganesh.’ ‘Making the sweets and the Diwali pots were exciting.’

The pupils said: ‘Making the sweets and the Diwali pots were exciting.’ ‘It was very creative.’ ‘I liked learning about the Indians and Diwali.’

The teachers said: ‘Natalie said that the class loved the lesson and some children she couldn’t get to engage were so interested in what you were talking about. Well done!’ ‘The children really enjoyed it and gained so much knowledge and information. You brought the Hindu culture alive for all of us especially me.’
