How is Elon Park Going to Raise the Cultural Awareness throughout the school’s community?

CULTURAL FAIR!!!

What can we do as a school to raise cultural competency and appreciation? Take a five minutes with the group and discuss ideas that we could have schoolwide participation. Think about something that can be done at home by families and shared in school.

IDEAS? Have the children bring home a quilt square to work with their parents to identify their culture and their heritage. Make a World Map to place in the main hallway to identify the areas that are represented throughout the world Any other?

Quilt Squares for each child

Cultural Trees

More Bulleting Boards

Sharing Unity through our differences

How will this be rolled out to the stakeholders in the school?

Final Thoughts?
