Research Performance Progress Report RPPR NIH Update Research Performance Progress Report RPPR As mandated by the Office of Management and Budget, NIH is implementing the new progress report format, RPPR, a Federal-wide initiative. The new format is now available to all NIH grantees starting October 19, 2012 to submit annual progress reports. http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-12-142.html
RPPR The use of RPPR is optional at this time, but will become mandatory in the spring of 2013. The following Streamlined Non-Competing Award Process (SNAP) progress reports as well as Fellowship progress reports may use RPPR format:

RPPR When initiating the progress report the PI will have the option to select either eSNAP or RPPR under above mechanisms. It is important to know that after selecting either format, it is not possible to change unless you request help from the NIH Commons help desk.

Grants.gov Attachment Filename Characters are now Validated and Enforced Beginning August 15, 2012, applicants are now limited to using the following characters in all attachment file names Valid file names may only include the following UTF-8 characters: A-Z, a-z, 0-9, underscore ( _ ), hyphen (-), space( ) and period (.). If applicants use any other characters when naming their attachment files, their applications will be rejected.
