Mrs. Kane 1991 - Graduated La Salle University in. Student taught at Neshaminy High School. Upon graduating I worked at St. Vincent’s Orphanage in Tacony as a pre-K teacher. 1993 - Worked as a substitute 1994 – Became a member of the Neshaminy family. I taught 8th grade learning support English. 2007 – Moved to 7th grade English 2015 – Moved to 6th grade English

Writing Format Format All typed assignments are to follow MLA (Modern Language Association) format, unless a change of direction is given by the teacher. Times New Roman Size 12 font Double-spaced One inch margins – top, bottom, left, right  

Spelling/Grammar Done within the short stories or novels. Use Language of Literature materials.

Classroom Procedures Must be to class on time. Must have needed materials 5 minute read Daily journal/edit Primary lesson

Assignments Work must be completed on time to receive full credit. One day late will receive partial credit. Students are responsible for all work due to absences or early dismissals. Students should utilize Agenda.

Grading Procedures GRADING SYSTEM My grading system is based on an accumulation of points. 90% - 100% = A 80% - 89% = B 70% - 79% = C 60% - 69% = D 59% - 50% = F Percentages are calculated by dividing the earned total of points by the total number of possible points. This answer is then multiplied by 100.

WIN (Whatever I Need) WIN is a quiet period. Students can work on class assignments, study, prepare for upcoming events, begin homework, or may go to a teacher for additional clarification. If they do not have any of the above needs, they may read quietly. The iPad may be used with teacher permission. If they are found to be playing games they will lose the privilege of using the iPad.
