Project – Draw Disaster Potential Region Download debris-flow location open data from SWCB, however, that data format is google earth kml, you cannot directly open them in ArcMap. Think about this question! How can you transfer these data from google earth kml to ArcMap shapefile. Select all debris-flow data which is located in Taipei city, and export to a new shapefile. In order to analyze these data much easily, we assumed that the damage potential region is equal from upstream to downstream. As the result, the potential effected region is 250m, 500m, 1 km from debris-flow.

Project – Draw Disaster Potential Region Question: If we divide three different disaster potential region by the distance from the debris-flow river, including 250m, 500m, 1km. Please answer these questions a following statements. How many villages are endangered which are located in debris-flow effected regions? Effected population? Effected area in km2? Buffer region entry Effected regions Effected populations Effected areas (km2) 250 m 500 m 1000 m
