GMT Timing Distribution Replacement of old timing distribution based on VH4 copper cables by fiber optics Fiber optic cables already partially in place Wait for missing fiber requested to EN/EL . We don't know yet if they will be install during this YETS Installation/Replacement of the distribution crates Old crate will not be kept as backup, we are confident with the new equipment MTG - Master Timing Generation Benjamin: Rénovation/Repérage distribution Meyrin (Chassis distribution) Benjamin: The final strategy is not defined yet. Because we have not enough hardware to replace the old one and all the fiber request made by my predecessor are not installed.

LEIR, PSB Transverse Feedback Renovation of transverse feedback for LEIR (cfv-363-all2) and PSB (dpsbtrfb) Request just arrived last week, not all details clear yet Needs more discussion with RF to understand their renovation plans Renovation of software seems to be the limiting factor This topic is highly questionable! We first have to talk to Alfred Blas, as he seems to lack information what has to be done, what are the consequences of that.

January Updates of Servers and Consoles Especially Monday most of the services will be not available due to update of the NFS servers As usual we attempt to not affect TI Operation, Access and Cryo too much Don't expect Working Sets to work, don't schedule e.g. Magnet pulsing in this period InCA - Monday 11.January to Wednesday 13. January New InCA release, changes related to automation of CCDB-LSA DB synchronisation (devices and properties) During these 3 days InCA/LSA services won't be available (working sets, knobs, LSA applications), don't schedule e.g. Magnet pulsing in this period

Timing Timing Short disruption of the timing services during January Foreseen timing interventions Upgrade of cs-ccr-ctm → Disruption of the DTM distribution for all machines Upgrade of LIC central timing for Awake project → No GMT and DTM timing distribution for CPS, PSB, LEI, SPS machines. Interventions normally less than 10 minutes Upgrade of White Rabbit switches in buildings CCR, 2008, 354 and 193 → Timing perturbations on CPS, PSB, LEI, SPS, ADE, CTF machines. Interventions normally less than 30 minutes

Drivers Deployment of PCI/PCIe geographical board location scripts This potentially impacts all PCI/PCIe based FECs OVERALL. Can be done at any moment during YETS, planned before the global FEC reboot beginning 2016 causing 1day of downtime around 3-4 Jan Deployment of new encore-based drivers for CVORJ and CVORA Deployment of new installation schema for Struck sis33** boards and also MTG (drivers.xml removed, transfer.ref only reference) To be decided, but the expected impact/downtime is always the same → Reboot of the FEC No system unavailable except during massive reboots during infrastructure updated and reboots of the FECs
