Introduction Configure the Permission for folder beas Software. Go on C: - Program Files (x86) and open it. Make right click on the folder beas software and click Properties After that, you will see a window with few Tabs. Choose the tab Security.

Introduction Click on the button „Edit“ On window Permissions do following steps: choose your group or user set permissions to full control click on button „Apply“ Note: If you are not able to change permissions, just add new user with button „Add…“ and then set rights for this new user.

Beas installation and update Note: This configuration should be filled automatically after your first installation and configuration Important: Server-Connect is not „ok“ you have to check your configuration in previous steps or in options in beas or HANA server (maybe server is offline) If everything is all right then click on button „Next“

Beas first start Check your configuration which should looks like that: Server = <yourservername>:portnumber DB User and Password = your connection to the HANA database server License server = <yourservername>:portnumber Driver = here choose HANA Programmserver = \\<servername>\b1_shf folder, a folder created when you installed SAP and beas structure was installed inside If everything is ok click „Test and Save“ Click on DI-API if when you finished

Beas installation and update Fill your User and Password which you’re using for login to SAP, write your Licenseserver and choose correct Driver then click on „Test“ Then you should get the message „DI-API Test is ok“ Click „OK“ and click „Save and Close“ Note: If DI-API Test is not OK you will get an error message First try Reinstall DI-API – manual how you can do this, you’re able to find below in this guide in chapter 4 - „Frequented Errors“ If reinstallation will not help then please contact us and our team will support you. After this configuration, beas clients should be updated automatically after you’ll update beas on Server, if not please continue with Beas client update

Beas client first installation Open in your client any window and write your path to server and b1_shf folder \\<servername>\b1_shf Open folder beas software and right click on „clientsetup.exe“ and start as Administrator

Backup and restore database of beas for HANA In File Sytem you create a new folder where you will download your DB if you folder alredy have then just copy file inside then you must set folder rights. Also make right mouse click on the folder and click – „Open in Terminal“ Then write in command line this command „chmod 777 –R *“

Backup and restore database of beas for HANA Open SAP HANA Studio and make right mouse click on Folder „catalog“ and click – „Open SQL Console“ Into SQL Console copy this command import "DBNAME"."*" as binary from '<path>' with replace threads 10 rename schema "DBNAME" to "DBNAME_NEW"; this command is with rename of database name if you do not want change name command is below DBNAME = in our case TRAININGENGLISH must be always Uppercase! <path> = it means path to the database – here you must use it only to the main folder of database = folder which you have extractred schema „DBNAME“ = current name of DB to „DBNAME_NEW“ new name of DB Also the command will looks like that. Click „Execute“ if you finished Use this command if you dont want to change the name of DB: import "DBNAME"."*" as binary from '<path>' with replace threads 10;

Backup of the Database beas If you need crate a backup from your Database please follow next few easy steps! In File System you should have a folder where do you want to upgrade in our case we will use „backup_test“ in this folder you have to create another folder (with name of database for example), in our case folder „training“ Go into file system and make right mouse click on the folder backup_test and click on „Open in Terminal“

Backup of the Database beas In terminal set rights for this folder. Write this command inside: „chmod 777 –R *“ Go into SAP HANA Studio open folder catalog and mark Database which you want backup Make right mouse click – click „Open SQL Console“

Backup of the Database beas In the SQL console write this command: export "DBNAME"."*" as binary into '<path>' with replace threads 10; DBNAME = Database name (TRAININGENGLISH) <path> = path to backup (/backup_test/training) Command will look like this: Click „Execute“.

Beas Error after connection to Start Update When you start upgrade or installation and click „Start Update/Installation“ (can be automatically) And then you’ll get this error, click „OK“

Restart Hana License Server In Linux Server open Computer and click on „YaST“ Then write in the search field „services“ and then click on „System Services“

Restart Hana License Server Then follow these steps: Click on the radio button „Expert Mode“ Find services called „sapb1servertools“ Click on „Start/Stop/Refresh“ 4a. If services has status „Yes“ click on „Restart now…“ 4b. If services has status „No“ click on „Start now…“

Older version of Beas on the server If you’ll get this message problem is that version.ini wasn’t updated or is not equal with server and client go please in client into beas software folder Program Files(x86)beas software/beas/program/version.ini and open it (with notepad for example)

Older version of Beas on the server There you see program and programtext program = number of your version programtext = version in text Program=917012000 91 = beas version for SAP 9.1 7 = patch version of beas 012 = internal counter 000 = Jesús declare please Also for example you’ll download version of beas 9.1 (7.09) program number will looks this way 917009000 etc.

Older version of Beas on the server Then please go into your b1_shf folder: You can do it over Linux server or easier way Open any window in client and click on the path above Then write inside: \\<yourservername>\b1_shf Go into beas/program/version.ini and check your program number if it’s not correct please change it on the right number which we described above

DI-API test not OK First what we can do is - to make a test with Data Transfer Workbench (=DTW) If you don’t have a DTW please continue below with reinstallation of SAP DI-API Open DTW and click on „Log On“ can be that you will see login table automatically, in this case continue with next step

DI-API test not OK Here fill your login and server informations (field 1) if you’re not able to write you must click on „Change User“ or „Change Server“, then please click on „OK“ If is everything ok then you shoul be able to see, that you’re connected Also it means, if in beas DI-API test comes any error and here you’re connected, you have to contact us and we will support you otherwise is problem with DI-API and continue with next subchapter Reinstallation of DI- API.

Reinstallation of DI-API Open your B1_SHF folder Open any window in windows and click into top line where is name of the window and write here \\<yourservername>\b1_shf and press „Enter“ Open folder B1DIAPI

Reinstallation of DI-API And run setup.exe, confirm every messages which you will get until „Finish“ and confirm that too After is uninstallation complete then please again click on setup.exe and DI-API will be installed If you’ll see a window where you should insert your License Server Name then just put in your server name and click on next in next window choose Typical and continue until the installation will be finished

APS and attendance module not showing If you are not able to see APS or attendance module you have to go into „Extra – License – and here you can see some beas list buttons in our case I’m showing which are oriented by the PC (green field) It means that you have to put inside in your License your computer name and then you’ll be able to see that Click on one beas list button

APS and attendance module not showing Then click on „New“ – choose your Computer Name – and Update, after that restart Beas and you should be able to see APS and attandance module Then continue with the rest two list beas buttons, same way.

APS and attendance module not showing But attention for example on Terminal Server or RDP Software if you still don’t see APS… then you have to go in command line and here write command „set“ and press „Enter“

Then you’ll see list where COMPUTERNAME etc. Here you must check if you have in your list CLIENTNAME – if yes you have to choose in License this name not COMPUTERNAME! !!Very important!! I’m not able to show you because we are not using this way. I hope that you’ll understand what I mean.
