We loved having all of our Grandparent’s in our class today! Mrs. Blair and Mrs. Stephanie’s Weekly Buzz August 28th- September 1st Important Dates: September 4-Labor Day Holiday September 12th- Papa John’s Night September 20th- Fall Picture Day! September 21st- Bee Boosters Meeting What We Learned This Week: I’m so happy to be back in the classroom with all my new friends! Overall, everyone has adjusted well. In small groups, we were introduced to AB patterns and we practiced writing our name on our “sign-in” cards. In the next few weeks, we will begin “signing-in” every morning. Several of our friends already know how to write their first name, so those friends will begin working on their last names too  Don’t forget Monday is a holiday! I hope you all have a safe, long weekend with your families  Our Goal for Next Week: Next week we will begin our unit on Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales. We will be learning several familiar nursery rhymes that we all learned as kids. I encourage you to sing these nursery rhymes with your child  Learning nursery rhymes, and how to make rhyming words, is the first step to learning how to read. In small groups, we will be sorting clothes by the season they are worn in, and we will talk about how our families are similar and different. OWL’s Story words: (Try using these words in conversation with your child throughout the week) Last week we read 106 books! Remember to read, read, read EVERYNIGHT to help Hand-in Hand Reach our goal of reading 100,000 books this school year! Just a few reminders: If you have not joined my Remind 101 class, please do so! Text @2cbdac to 81010 to join  Your child needs to bring their book bag and bus/car tag everyday! Library books are due back on Wednesday. We did not get a new book this week because of the book fair. We go to lunch at 11:10, you are welcome to join us any day! sticky messy busy hush freeze neat We loved having all of our Grandparent’s in our class today! Need to speak with me?
