About Mrs. Green Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. Originally from Milledgeville, Ga. Married for 5 years. Loves cookies, coffee, taking photos, and being outside.

Keeping up with your child’s academic progress. Report cards will be sent home every 9 weeks. Academic alerts are sent home with student at the 41/2 week mark of every nine weeks to students who are in jeopardy of receiving a 1 on the report card. We will be meeting for our yearly conference in October. I also offer conferences in the spring.

Homework: It is important to have your child read each night. The homework calendar will be in your child’s take home folder on the first Monday of each month. Homework for each week should be completed on a separate sheet of paper (you can use whatever you have at home) and returned in the take home folder each Friday. BE SURE YOUR CHILD WRITES HIS/HER NAME ON EACH SHEET! As your child works to develop writing skills, the writing assignments may be dictated and then written by you. The calendar is meant to be used on a weekly basis. Please DO NOT complete the whole calendar at one time!

Normally it will be 15 books a month.) These books can be from home, Media Center, Smyrna library, etc. Parents, you may read to or with your child. When the reading log is filled, place another sheet of paper in front of the log to list additional books. Each chapter in a chapter book may be listed as one book. Write the title of the chapter in the space. THIS READING LOG IS DUE AND WILL BE TAKEN OUT OF YOUR CHILD’S FOLDER ON 9-30-13 Keep this reading log in your child’s purple folder. Book It! REMINDERS! Check folder every night. Complete a homework assignment nightly. Always send in the purple and green folder! Send in a small snack everyday. Water bottles are due back to school on Mondays. Media Center books are due back to school on Wednesdays. Homework is due on Fridays.
