Four Year Plan FRESHMAN – 7 credits English 1.00 Physical Education .50 Science 1.00 Electives - total 3.5 credits Math 1.00 SOPHOMORE – 7 credits English 1.00 Social Studies 1.00 Science 1.00 Health .50 Math 1.00 Electives - total 2.5 credits
Four Year Plan Continued JUNIORS– at least 6 credits English 1.00 Electives - total 2 credits Science 1.00 Math 1.00 Social Studies 1.00 SENIORS– at least 4 credits English 1.00 Electives - total 2.5 credits Health .50 Social Studies 1.00 Following this plan will equal the minimum number of 24 credits required to graduate.
College Entrance Requirements A minimum grade of “C” in core courses 4 years of English 3 years of Mathematics - (including Algebra2) 3 years of Science 3 years of Social Studies 2 years of the same World Language 16 academic credits in core subject areas .5 credit in a Visual/Performing Fine Arts class is recommended
Additional College Requirements Minimum grade point averages for admission: 3.00 for U of O, OSU, PSU, OIT, SOU 2.75 for EOU, WOU Additional review may be required by the college. Universities also require ACT/SAT test scores.
International Baccalaureate (IB) IB classes are the most challenging courses offered at GHS for Juniors and Seniors. IB Program Options: Earn a full IB diploma Take 4 years of a World Language Forecast for Honors Classes in English, Math, & Science Forecast Honors Geography Take IB Tests and Earn college credit Take one or more IB classes in strong subject area NOTE: Students can forecast for IB classes during the sophomore year.
