The manual you will be using is “ INCONTROL for z/OS® Installation Guide: Installing” Starting on page 513 with “Cloning an IOA Environment”

Please note the dataset name of the PACKAGE that was created Please note the dataset name of the PACKAGE that was created. You will be using the PACKAGE dataset name later.

Copy the original base environment ilprefa Copy  the original base environment ilprefa.INSTWORK(IOACDRNM) member to a new sequential file that uses the new clone base prefix.

Use Name: basepref.RNM (use the base prefix of the new clone environment)

Specify the following allocation attributes: Organization PS Record format: FB Record length: 80 Block size: 6160

Copy the original base environment ilprefa Copy  the original base environment ilprefa.JCL(IOADSRST) member to a new sequential file  that uses the new clone base prefix

Use Name: basepref.IOADSRST (use the base prefix of the new clone environment)

Specify the following allocation attributes: Organization PS Record format: FB Record length: 80 Block size: 6160

Adjust all the parameters in the file basepref Adjust all the parameters in the file basepref.RNM to the new target environment. Make sure ■ to avoid using the characters '*/' in the parameter values ■ the number of qualifiers used for each target system data set is the same used for the corresponding source data set ■ the value of the USER parameter at the end of the Renaming Definitions data set is not changed ■ the mandatory continuation character "-" is at the 71th position of each line except the last line

Update the extraction job

Adjust the extraction job by entering the package file name and the name of the basepref.RNM data set (in the SYSIN DD at the end of the job)

The maximum return code for successfully running IOADSRST is 0004.

Compress the ilprefa.PARM and ilprefa.INSTWORK libraries. This would be the newly cloned files

Be sure to use the RENAMING TOOL jcl in ilprefa Be sure to use the RENAMING TOOL jcl in ilprefa.JCL(IOARNM) from the newly clone files

The value for the ENVID parameter must be the same as it was specified for the ENVID parameter for the Data Set Listing tool (In other words the original environment ID that was cloned from)

Use the BASEPREF and ILPREFA of the cloned environment.

The Renaming Tool job submits many jobs to perform the tasks necessary to rename and reformat the newly cloned files.
