Palm Lakes The management of Palm Lakes Apartment homes desires an addition to their web site that allows potential residents to calculate the estimated monthly rent based on a series of choices.

Project Charter Charter Start Date: January 24, 2002 Finish Date: April 26, 2002 Objective: : Design a “Apartment Rent Estimator” Website within 3 months to capitalize on new Internet technology that will ensure better service to potential residents. The development will supplement the existing system. Budgeted $65,000 for hardware and software costs and $300,000 in labor costs.

Project Charter Approach Conduct a system’s analysis to determine which sections of the current system will need to be upgraded to meet the proposed system’s criteria Develop an in-depth cost structure report detailing the cost allocation of the proposed budget Investigation of what other companies have implemented for similar projects Development of protocols on how the project will be monitored, evaluated, and controlled

Roles & Responsibilities Name: Role: Responsibility: Dr. Mohammad Rob, CEO Project Sponsor Monitor project and provides funding. Laurie Hubenak Project Manager Designs, plans, and coordinates project. Handles application features and technical designs. Heath Wardlow Programmer Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs Robert Fielder Deputy Project Manager/Systems Analyst Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Create documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections David Cain Test Engineer Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies. Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
