Does it mean any of the things listed above? Wearing green lipstick may be cute but it does not mean going green. To drink green kool-aid To kiss green frogs To dye your hair green

GoInG gReEn OuTcOmEs Explore information on going-green Explore ways of going-green Explore the effects of going-green Explore web resources for going-green Some goals of going green would be to know what to do and how to do it. Also thinking about the effects of not going green.

Basic Green Knowing the three R’s is the key to going-green… Reduce Reuse Recycle The basic green components are learning to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

How To REDUCE! Unplug hair dryers and curling irons Try Composting Refill water bottles Turn water off while brushing teeth Take quick showers instead of baths Some ways to reduce as you learn and begin going green would be to take showers instead of baths and refilling water bottles after one use. Make sure trash is really trash Turns lights off when leaving the room

How To Reuse! Find a second use for things Reuse plastic grocery bags for trash liners Make Art Ways to reuse would be to find another use for something already made like making art with objects instead of throwing it a way. An example would be making an egg carton waste basket. Make jewelry

How To Recycle! If it is paper, recycle it If it is cardboard, recycle it If it is plastic, recycle it Collect aluminum cans Recycling materials so that they can be made into something new by companies. Examples would be recycled paper and soda cans.
