Background Power hungry man The United Empire was formed as a result of WWIII John Hamlet is the ruler of this empire Power hungry man “If the whole world is against you, you must at least have the support of your people” propaganda U.S. declared war on China to gain world domination No allies; everyone was against U.S. Took China’s side U.S. came out on top. People were oblivious to the real reasons for war. As a result of winning the war Hamlet took the world as his spoils Created the U.E. (United Empire)

Environment The Environment of The United Empire can be defined as this- wonderfully dull. Anything you can find in The United Empire is black and white, from the sky, to the buildings, to the people’s clothes. There is no sunny weather, it is always raining. The reason for no color and the continuous rain is because John Hamlet created a machine called the “Annihilater 3300”. -This machine used laser rays to zap masks over the sun, the moon, and the stars. The laser rays also zapped all color leaving the environment of The United Empire colorless.

People in Environment In The United Empire you can feel no emotions. There is no love, no laughter, no anger, no sadness, and no compassion- nothing. All feelings are controlled by a Department of Emotions, who makes sure no human feels anything. All humans are controlled by a chip that was programmed in them that is hooked up to their body to make sure they feel nothing at no times.

Economy Very Strong Don’t pay employees much Upper Class-make most money Lower Class-make close to nothing Currency is the same as the U.S. currency of the Pre- Empire period. Rations Cannot take more than what you are given Weekly Upper Class receives the most.

Government John Hamlet Appointed Governors. Supreme ruler or dictator God Ruled like dictators of the past Hitler and Mussolini. Aggressive fierce determined Appointed Governors. Family members and closest friends Watched over the larger countries of the world.

Laws The laws of the United Empire Include: No protesting No freedom of speech No freedom of press No stealing No possessions No emotions especially love. No intimacy children will be made for you. No inter class relationships No freedom of worship. John Hamlet is the only God. No loving children, they are property of the parents Were not under any circumstances to take the chip out of your head.

Punishment If a law has been broken: Endure torture in town square Humiliation After one day will be killed How much torture and the severity of death depend on seriousness of crime. Hamlet has the final decision on everything.

Conflicts In the Empire! Some members of the ruling family opposed Hamlet and his society. Planned to overthrow him They were found out and killed in the way the people chose. If the chip in your head was taken out… You will be imprisoned Disowned from your family The Biggest Conflict was with the Catholics: Did not agree with Hamlet’s ideas Did not want to give up their religions or beliefs Persecuted or tortured.

Social Classes Hamlet and his family Upper class Middle class Lower class Class distinction is based on how much money one has.

Occupation Upper class -The only people in the upper class is the family of John Hamlet -They are the only people who know the inner secrets -They are the only people considered to be wealthy -Their job is to be the head of the departments

Occupation Middle class -Most of the citizens make up the middle class -Most of their jobs consist of factory work in the departments and secretary work -Some of this class also works as doctors (this is considered to be a more prominent job)

Occupation Lower class -the lower class has the holds the more menial positions -they are usually servants for the Family, and do things like cleaning and hard labor work
