Because of the Three Mile Island accident, no nuclear plants have been built in the US since 1979. However, approval for a new plant in Georgia was given in February 2012 by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. It is currently under construction.

Timothy McVeigh was executed in 2001 for the murder of 169 people in the Oklahoma City bombing. Terry Nichols, his co-conspirator, is serving life without parole in the supermax federal prison in Colorado.

Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives but not convicted of “high crimes and misdemeanors” by the US Senate. On the perjury charge the vote was 55 to 45 NOT to remove him (45 Democrats and 10 Republicans voted not to remove). On the obstruction of justice charge the vote was 50 to 50 (5 Republicans voted to not remove him). The vote wasn’t really that close, because to REMOVE the President, 67 votes are needed.
