Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia SPATIAL ANALYSIS THE PATTERN OF TUBERCULOSIS CASE IN DEPOK, WEST JAVA PROVINCE, INDONESIA Martya Rahmaniati M Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia Martya.rahmaniati@ui.ac.id

Background Tuberculosis is a directly spreading disease which is caused by TB (Mycobacterium Tuberculosis). In Indonesia, the TB disease is still becoming the main problem for the community health. TB disease is the third cause of the death for all ages after Cardiovascular.

The Aim of Research The application of the geographical information system in analyzing the case and spreading of the disease. The result of this research is expected to be used as the inputs for prevention planning program against TB disease

Research Method The analysis is this research is spatial analysis, technique for spatial analysis is based on correlation Evaluation on spatial analysis is used to see the spreading of tuberculosis case based on the individual characteristics which cover the educational background, economic level, knowledge about TB, house environment (floor type, physical structure, number of windows, sunlight, sleeping room), the purpose of visiting community health center (puskesmas) and other spatial data are height of the area, temperature and air humidity.

The secondary data cover the result of health and population program in Depok City during the year 2008. While taking the primary data cover the data of location point of the TB patients using the GPS tools

Statistical analysis in this research is using the chi-square to examine the relationship between TB patient case versus independent variable. for spatial statistical analysis by using the nearest neighborhood analysis to see the spreading pattern of tuberculosis case in Depok.

Result and Discusion

Conclusions The spreading pattern of tuberculosis case in Depok City in year 2008, based on the nearest neighborhood analysis is clustered to spreading. There’s a relationship between tuberculosis patients and the condition of social, economic and culture in Depok City in 2008.
