Olathe Career and Technical Education 21st Century Programs

Programs The CTE programs are available to students in their junior or senior year for 2-3 hours each day. Students attend their own high school for 4 or 5 hours then come to the program site for the remainder of the day. CTE programs may be in the morning or afternoon.

Program Locations/Transportation Housed at: Olathe Advanced Technical Center Olathe North Heartland & Harmony Early Childhood Centers. Bussing/Transports are available to and from Olathe East High School *Exception: CNA requires independent transportation due to multiple site usage.

OATC Automotive Technology The Automotive Technology program offers students the opportunity to discover the automotive industry through hands-on labs, unique partnerships and competition. Students in this two-year career and technical program. Work with industry standard equipment Develop skills through application of theory using modern electronic testing equipment. OATC - Auto Collision Technology The Auto Collision Technology program prepares students for a variety of career opportunities in auto body repair, customization and learn through hands-on experiences with industry-standard equipment, including a down-draft paint booth. OATC-Construction Trades The Construction Technology program is a fast paced hands-on program that gives students the opportunity to work with the various areas of construction through the building of a house. OATC-Welding Technology The Welding Technology program combines the skills of a craftsman, the dexterity of an artist and the knowledge of a scientist through hands-on projects and classroom learning. Enrollment Procedures: Steps: 1. TOUR: You MUST attend a tour in order to be eligible. Tour permission forms are available in counseling office. Bring back signed permission form to counseling office. Deadline is October 31st. SIGN UP TODAY! 2. APPLY: Complete the online application as soon as possible after your tour. SPACES ARE LIMITED! Applications are due by Dec. 16th 3. ACCEPTANCE: Selections made in February. You will be notified by email. You must accept or decline! Your counselor will adjust your enrollment for the fall.
